Review
Dying to Run is a short but fast-paced sequel to Dead Running. I'm not always a huge fan of novellas. However, Dying to Run picks up right where the last one left off. And man, it sure picks up with a BANG! Because the characters and back stories were already developed in Dead Running, there was no need to pause for lengthy descriptions and boring dialogue. Everything moved quickly and kept my attention riveted the whole way through.
After an unique start to Cassie and Dr. Tattoo's relationship in Dead Running, I was curious to see where Cami would take it (since most books end as soon as the relationship begins). However, I was glad to see some new developments and complications thrown in to keep their romance interesting. (And I very much enjoyed their romantic interlude (wink, wink ;))
Despite the banter and quick wit that keeps these books fairly lighthearted, this sequel does throw in some though-provoking questions about some very serious issues. This helps to create a balance between entertainment and education and I appreciated both aspects of it.
Every page of Dying to Run is full of excitement, suspense, and of course yummy (well, PG-rated) romance. It will definitely have you "laughing, biting your nails, and hoping for more"!
