Run or die!

She knew too much, and she’d seen too much. And the police refused to help. Knowing that she was to be the next scheduled death, Kelly Campbell hid underhead to toe black leather and a tinted motorcycle helmet and ran for her life.

When the weather turned cold, she turned south. She ended up in North Carolina, home to one of the most famed and eligible NFL football stars in the whole league; only she didn’t know that. She thought he was a businessman. Not being a huge fan, all she knew was that he was incredibly attractive, kind, generous, and that she was safe with him. Or was she?

His brand of fame proved to be all but deadly, but his fame wasn't nearly as lethal as his attraction. He kept her safe and protected. All except her heart.
Review

First off, I just want to thank Jaclyn and all the other authors, especially in the LDS market, that write clean romantic fiction. I love curling up with a good romance and it is so nice not to have to worry about stumbling upon a racy scene. With that said, on to the review!

The Most Important Catch is such a charming, fun, and relaxing read! I loved so many things about it: an NFL player, an adorable but complicated romance, beautiful scenery, LDS characters, and a home makeover.

One of the first things that drew me in was the fact that one of the main characters was an NFL player. I'm huge fan of sports and always enjoy reading a book involving them. And football is one of my favorites! Jaclyn definitely did some research about the NFL and I feel that she perfectly captured the issues (and perks) of Robbie's position as a professional athlete.

The setting of this book was also very appealing. I have never been to North Carolina but it sounds like a beautiful place. I loved the picturesque and quaint area that Robbie's house was located in. And the house he was renovating was absolutely charming! I appreciated all the detail that Jaclyn put in to describing the house and the improvements that were made. Kelly was so resourceful in learning how to do home renovation (and I could totally relate since I have watched/helped my contractor dad work on many home improvement projects!)

The romance between Kelly and Robbie was so sweet (and definitely complicated!) I loved how slowly they took things in progressing from friends to something more. It seemed very realistic as opposed to books that have characters falling "in love at first sight".

If you are looking for a sweet (and clean), charming summer read, you definitely need to check out The Most Important Catch by Jaclyn Hawkes.
